NBA Locks Out Refs

It was bound to happen based on the way talks were going, but today the NBA officially announced it was locking out the NBA referees. The officials Association rejected the most recent offer by a vote of 57-0 and we may be stuck with NBDL and WNBA referees as the NBA season begins. Here's a taste of what was said: "The proposals we have made to the NBRA are extraordinarily fair and reasonable, given the current economic circumstances," said Rick Buchanan, the NBA's Executive Vice President and General Counsel. "Since late 2008, the league and our teams have made far deeper cuts in non-referee headcount and expenses than we are asking for here.
