ScottáWalker shootsùhe scores! The Carolina Hurricanes beat the Boston Bruins 3-2 and are moving on to the Eastern Conference Finals. These were the last words from the Bruins' 2008-09 season. I can still remember this game perfectly and just watching Walker punch in the OT winner to finish off the Bruins, crushing yet another dream of the B's winning the Cup that has eluded them for so longù37 years, to be exact. The '08-09 season for the Bruins was a rejuvenation of hockey in Beantown. The Bruins finished with 116 points and first place in the Eastern Conference. Expectations were high and made even higher after the B's swept the rival Canadiens in the first round. Then they ran into the Carolina Hurricanes and Cam Ward.
