It's time. With the Olympics off and running in Vancouver, NHL teams down in the States (and in other Canadian cities) have been granted a lengthy two-and-a-half week break to re-assess their situation heading into the March 3 trade deadline and the 20 regular season games left this spring. For hockey fanatics not quite as involved in the sport, this stretch is also a time to sort out the pretenders from the contenders. Who is for real?
