The Montreal Canadiens are in talks with the free agent defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron. Bergeron, who played last season witháthe Minnesota Wild, scored 14 goals (seven on the power play) and added 18 assists in 2008-09.á Bergeron's career started with the Edmonton Oilers in 2001. He has also played for the New York Islanders, Anaheim Ducks and, most recently, the Wild. Bergeron's reputation definitely precedes him as being a fast-skating defenseman with a knack for end-to-end rushes.
