Pre-season hockey for the Hawks started last weekend, and a match up against the Minnesota Wild seemed, to me, to be a pre-season game worth watching. Why, you might ask? Well this off-season the Hawks told their fans that they had interest in re-signing forward, and points leader for the team, Martin Havlat. Havlat said he would love to stay in Chicago, and that Chicago was the only place he wanted to be. As you might know, Havlat was released. The Hawks signed Marian Hossa before Havlat was released, but fans knew once they signed Hossa, Havlat wouldn’t be returning. Jump forward a couple of months.
