It's the second day of training camp and Sabres fans can rejoice, as Drew Stafford will return to the team this season after all. After contract talks reportedly reached a stalemate earlier this week, Sabres GM Darcy Regier said the team was continuing to work with Stafford to try and get a deal done. On Sunday, the Sabres announced that they have signed Stafford to a two-year deal worth $1.5 mil this season, and $2.5 mil next season. The team is expected to continue working with Stafford throughout the two-year period to sign a longer-term contract. In the meantime, Stafford is a promising young player who will continue to develop his offensive skills in hopes of signing a better contract in the future.
