The New York Rangers (13-13-1) are just 27 games into the 2009-10 season, yet many fans are beginning to lose all hope for their beloved Blueshirts.
After watching the Rangers' last three games—where they have been outscored by an 18-6 margin—who can really blame them?
The inconsistent Rangers were dominated by the Tampa Bay Lightning, and then were swept in a home-and-home matchup with the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins.
As stated in a previous story, the home-and-home matchup with the Penguins was an important test for the Rangers...to see if they can compete with one of the top teams in the NHL. Unfortunately, they failed that test and proved that their 7-1 start to the season was nothing more than a fluke.
