Being the first #1 seed to blow a 3-1 series lead to a #8 seed is unacceptable. Hell, it is downright embarrassing.
Bruce Boudreau, Alex Ovechkin, Mike Green, Alexander Semin, Nicklas Backstrom, Tomas Fleischmann, Jose Theodore, Semyon Varlamov and the rest of the gang are all to blame.
The talking heads on ESPN are all going to talk about how this proves Crosby is the superior player to Ovechkin. Great. Right now he is.
They are going to say that Ovechkin should have been a better leader, and that he shouldn't celebrate so much when he scores goals. All the talk will be about Ovechkin, since he is the best player and team captain.
Is he the next Karl Malone? No.
The next Tracy McGrady? No.
Ray Borque? Remains to be seen.
