It is time to wake up, NHL. We watched Matt Cooke lay a dirty, cheap shot on the head of a defenseless Marc Savard. This hit led to Marc Savard having to be taken off the ice on a stretcher and his season over, diagnosed with a concussion. The fact that there was no suspension or no rule change is absolutely disgusting. Any person at the NHL offices with any kind of power over these decisions should be ashamed of themselves. I'm going to let the fact go that Cooke has built a reputation for himself doing things like this with no consequences. I'm going to move past the fact that the Bruins, an original six team and huge hockey town, just lost their best player.
