The Buffalo Sabres announced today that they have struck a deal with the Boston Bruins. The deal sends often-scratched forward Daniel Paille to Boston in exchange for Boston's third-round selection and a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2010 draft. Paille found himself falling out of favor with head coach Lindy Ruff, spending more time in the press box than on the ice. The move allows the Sabres to stay under the NHL's limit on the maximum number of active players on their roster. For Paille, this may be a blessing in disguise.
