In my earlier article today I had made mention of the flu affecting certain players of the Buffalo Sabres team. Never did I know that the entire team must have been going through sympathy illness for their ill comrades. Tonight the Buffalo Sabres went into the island to collect what some would consider an easy two points. Problem was no one told the Buffalo Sabres about how easy those two points really should have been to attain. The first period Buffalo had some decent scoring chances but failed to capitalize on any, giving the Islanders a new lease on life in this game. And with just under three minutes to play in the first period Richard Park put the Islanders ahead with the eventual game winner 1-0.
