The Dallas Cowboys took care of business at home against a good Atlanta team, winning to improve to 4-2 and challenging for playoff contention and only being one game out of first in that tough NFC East division. The Cowboys won 37-21. The Packers had no problem with Cleveland winning 31-3 and getting their record to 4-2 also, with a big game next week at home against Minnesota coming up. Houston survived three second half touchdowns by Alex Smith and the Forty-Niners to improve their record to 4-3 and remain in wild-card contention. The Texans won 24-21 at home. Phillip Rivers passed for 268 yards and three touchdowns, going 18 for 30 to crush Kansas City 37-7. The Chargers are now 4-3 and should win next week against the Raiders.
