When the Tennessee Titans were eliminated from the playoffs last year, Jeff Fisher stated that his top priority in the offseason was to keep Kerry Collins as his starting quarterback. Collins was promised that he would keep his starting job if he were to return to the Titans. Even with former first round pick Vince Young trying to work his way back into favor of the team, Fisher stuck with Collins. The wedge between Young and Fisher starts to grow. As the season started, and the Titans started losing games, Fisher stuck with Collins. As media outlets started asking the questions about Young, Fisher stuck with Collins.
