"I was ecstatic." That's what Ryan Matthews said when asked how he felt about being drafted by the Chargers. "I felt pretty sure I would be drafted by the Texans or Seahawks, so when the Chargers jumped up 16 spots to grab me I couldn't believe it," said Matthews. Honestly, neither could I, and just like Matthews, I was ecstatic and in shock. Just how good is this guy? I briefly read up on him, and I knew that he was out of our picking range. I read much more about Jonathon Dwyer, Joe McKnight, and Jahvid Best. I was almost convinced by Paul Pelibius and Henry Young that we probably wouldn't  even get Best, and would instead immediately draft a nose tackle, so Matthews to me was beyond a realm of possibility.
