The Vikings announced their agreement with Michael Montgomery (pictured) to a one-year, $630,000 free-agent contract, according to a report Tuesday by Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune . The sixth-round pick out of Texas A&M in 2005 had six or seven suitors according to his agent, Blake Baratz. His reasons were mixed between his best shot at a Super Bowl and likely also due to playing in the same division as Green Bay. "It was really important for Mike and I to get him back to a 4-3 scheme, and he really fits schematically with what the Vikings do," Baratz said, according to the Star Tribune .
