For a guy who comes across as, dare I say, "likable," Brett Farve's actions over the past years have worn themselves as thin as his graying beard (and mine). Living in the New York metropolitan area, I listened all last year as Jet fan after Jet fan jumped on, then off the Favre bandwagon during the Jets' late season swoon under his guidance. Let's face it: he played the Jets the fool as he accomplished his real goal of taking a one-year playing hiatus in order to exact his true aim: vengeance on the Green Bay Packers. The Packers had the audacity to think it was time to move in a different direction without his approval. Once they did, Favre was out for revenge.
