Former Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson has passed through waivers, and is now free to sign with any team he chooses. Or should we say, any team that will take him. Johnson would have been due roughly $2.3 million for the rest of the season, which is why few were surprised he found no takers . The Washington Redskins were rumored to be interested, but they already have two running backs in Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts that are at least as good, if not better than LJ. The New England Patriots have also been rumored to be interested, although there are conflicting reports from different sources about their interest.
