Larry Johnsonáwill beásuspended for one game, on Nov. 9, for using gay slurs on his Twitter account. As ignorant as the slurs were, this is America, and we still have the right to free speech. I do not agree with his remarks, but they have absolutely nothing to do with the team.
Larry Johnson should have to apologize to his fans, the gay community, and pay a fine. While the use of gay slurs was thoughtless, ignorant, and inappropriate, they were not the comments that were "detrimental to the team."
