"Well, there's always next year." á It's the universal statement and rallying cry for the undermanned and underachieving all over. á For some organizations, it's wishful thinking. áFor others, it bears a certain air of legitimacy. á Ideally, the Tennessee Titans fall into the latter categoryùif they play their cards right. á But first, they must come to grips with the grim realization that their season is, in fact, lost. Trouble is, it's not a player's (or coach's) inherent nature to roll over and concede defeat. Pride is as much a vice as it is a virtue at this point.á And in situations like these, that could be bad. To be 2-3 or even 1-4 would merit the normal "what's best to win right now" aesthetic.
