While Donald Penn is the starting LT for the Tampa Bay Bucs, he has had a weight issue in the past and that issue was a problem last year and also makes the Bucs hesitant to do a long term deal with the player. This is where the Lions jump in. Penn was tagged with a first and third round tender, essentially making it impossible for any team to sign Penn, but if he were to sign the tender, a trade is more likely to occur. A potential deal that could happen is that Detroit parts with there fifth round selection in next year's draft and swaps second or third rounders with the Bucs, while also giving a player like Cliff Avril in the deal.
