Two years ago Brett Favre was the most beloved football player in the nation. He had just wrapped up a 13-3 season in which he put up pro bowl stats. Packer fans across the nation were expecting Favre to come back for 2008 and have one more whirl at a championship. Oh, how times have changed. You all know the story, Favre retires and gets a metaphoric standing ovation from the whole NFL community. Then, Favre decides he wants to come back, but the Packers say "the train has left the station." Favre gets traded to the Jets where he finds little success. Favre retires after one mediocre season in New York, and says "there is no chance" that he comes back.
