Dallas' dismal December play became a realization for me on Dec. 25, 2006. A Christmas home game in roaring Texas Stadium. The Cowboys had a rejuvenated offense unseen in Big D since the mid '90s, winning six of its last eight games with new starter Tony Romo, and recently acquired wide receiver Terrell Owens. NFC East Rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, coming off a three game winning streak andáled by backup Jeff Garcia, met this confident Cowboys team on the frosted turf. The chilly evening started off nightmarish for the Cowboy loyal with the Eagles taking a quick 10-0 lead. Romo fired back late in the firstáhalf with a well thrown ball into the end zone to ex-Eagle Owens for the Cowboys only score of the night.
