Those are the words I would use if you had told me in August that the Broncos would be 6-0 going into their bye, and talk of a Super Bowl run, let alone a playoff berth, would be discussed with a straight face. But here we are. Most fans almost always hold out hope at the start of every season that this could be "the year" for their team, but it was especially hard for Broncos fans to even give consideration to such thought this year. Their stalwart head coach was gone, as was their young Pro Bowl franchise quarterback, and their star wide receiver was throwing a temper tantrum that would make Terrell Owens proud.
