Dwight Howard has spent the majority of the season leading Orlando and carrying the brunt of the workload. Coach Stan Van Gundy has decided to make that load lighter as the post-season approaches, giving more playing time to the deep Magic bench. The plan has been working for Orlando, as the team has won 10 of their last 11 games. The Magic have cruised to a 49-21 record and became the third team in the NBA to clinch a playoff berth. On Wednesday night Orlando welcomed the San Antonio Spurs to town. The Magic had no trouble with the Spurs, handing them a 110-84 loss. For the better part of the fourth quarter, the Orlando starting five sat on the bench, arm-in-arm, laughing as the bottom of the bench managed to secure the hefty Magic lead.
