So as the NBA season is less than a month away, it has been announced that we will have to start this upcoming season with replacement refs. How bad can this be? Lets look at the possible pros and cons in this situation.
Pros: Players still have refs who will at least make some reasonable calls and the NBA will have the satisfaction that they didn't give in to the refs. If you think about it, the refs are there just to guide the game to make sure that it is played right. Sure, these replacements may not be as great as the NBRA refs, but I'm sure that they will still see fouls and travels and will make right calls.
Cons: In this situation, it's hard to see the bright side. If someone was a good ref they would already be in the NBRA. These replacement refs will do the job, but not nearly as ...
