I was always told the game is never over until the clock shows "0:00." If you want to be funny, the game is never over until "the fat lady sings."
The Miami Heat held a four point lead against the Los Angeles Lakers with 9.9 seconds to play. Any normal basketball fan knows that the chances of winning in this situation is slim and none.
So, it didn't really surprise me to see fans start to groan and complain. It didn't surprise me to see fans start making their way towards the exit. And it didn't surprise me to see Heat players and fans smiling like they had already won.
But I'm not a normal basketball fan.
I knew there was a slight chance the Lakers would win and I knew there was a slight chance to witness a miracle.
