Ron Artest finally has some competition for the craziest player in the NBA.
Delonte West threw his hat firmly into that ring last night when he was arrested on a weapon's charge and with what is shaping up to become one of the strangest stories to come out of the NBA in a long time.
West, riding his three-wheeled motorcycle, cut off a police officer at 10 p.m. Thursday night and got pulled over. When the officer approached, West disclosed that he was carrying a handgun in his waistband.
The officer then called for backup, which is when the situation really got crazy. West was carrying not one, not two, but three guns on him that night. A handgun in his waistband like he had told the officer, another gun strapped to his leg, and a shotgun in a guitar case that West was carrying on his back. ...
