Major League Baseball has done everything it can to drive its fans away.á There was the strike in 1994, which, I suppose, was the only way to actually force people to stop watching baseball, as there was none to be played.á In 1998, baseball was back with it's two knights in shining armorùMark McGwire and Sammy Sosaùand their unforgettable run towards history.á Whoops. McGwire was hopped up on steroids, and Sosa corked his bat.á 2001 may have been the best, most memorable year in baseball history. Mike Piazza jacking that home run after 9/11 was just spectacular.
