After a memorable opening day where Jason Heyward blasted a home run in his first at bat, and President Barack Obama threw out the first pitch at National Park in Washington D.C, the Florida Marlins left a sour taste in their fan's mouth in route to a 7-1 loss over the division rival, New York Mets.  The Florida Marlins came into opening day as the team under everyone's radar, but were still a threat to any team in the league. However, Mets ace Johan Santana was able to shut down the fish yet again allowing only five hits and one earned run. David Wright started the game off with a bang after a two run shot out to right field, giving Mets fans hope that he is back to his old ways.
