Here is my 25 man roster for the 2009 MLB Sleepers of the draft All Star Team. To be considered a sleeper of the draft All Star you can not be drafted in the first round.
This eliminates some famous stars like Alex Rodriguez, Josh Beckett, and Joe Mauer. This also excludes amateur free agent signings and international free agents like Ichiro, Mariano Rivera, and Johan Santana.
I am open to more suggestions on who should make the team, the later round finds the better.
Scouting, drafting and signing any of these players takes a lot of luck and instinct. This shows fans and front office people there is value at all positions in the draft.
It's amazing that you can get a guy like Albert Pujols in the 13th round. I guess the MLB draft process is not a pure science ...
