Breakdown

Deibinson (D.J.) Romero signed with the Twins as a non-drafted free agent in the summer of 2004 as a 17 year-old. He spent all of the 2005 season in the Dominican Summer League and then made his way to the States in 2006. He had two successful years in rookie ball, but was hit by knee injuries in 2008. Even with these injuries, the Twins rewarded Romero by adding him to their 40-man roster prior to the 2009 season.
