The Mets continued their hot streak with a 7-3 win against the Dodgers today behind some early offense and a strong pitching performance by John Maine. They have now won seven games in a row, and have wrapped up this homestand by winning 9 out of 10 games. Not bad. Be careful though, these Mets were clearly not as bad as they were early in the season, but they probably aren’t this good either. Notes John Maine’s line: 6IP, 4H, 3R, 2ER, 3BB, 9K, 1HR. Fernando Nieve (1.1IP), Pedro Feliciano (0.2IP), and Francisco Rodriguez (1IP) combined for this line: 3IP, 1H, 0R, 1BB, 4K. Angel Pagan went 1-for-5 with a triple, 2 RBI’s, and 1 run scored.
