Kenny Williams the General Manager of the Chicago White Sox made two key deals this year, one for Jake Peavy and the other for Alex Rios. These deals were going to give the White Sox an added boost for the playoff stretch and for years down the road. The Peavy and Rios deal both have seemed to have itsátroubles as far as helping the White Sox make the postseason. Peavy with his injuries and Rios with his on field performance. When the Peavy trade was made for the second time on July 31st, the White Sox were only 1.5 games out of first place. Initially Jake Peavy invoked his no-trade clause to block a trade to the White Sox back in May.
