á Bobby Abreu was rumored to beáreceivingáa contract offer by the Angels, it was true, but Bobby Declined. The offer by the Angles to Abreu was a 2 year $16 million dollar extension. Abreu just came off a very productive season goingá.293/.390/.435, 15 HR, 103 RBI, and 30 SB. Bobby must feel that his good season means that he deserves more money, and he is right. The value of a strong, good base-stealing, professional hitter is extremely high and Abreu provides that. Especially since the free agent market this year is not filled with very good outfielders and offense for that matter, the value he can provide should go higher than $16 million.
