No player on the Brewers roster faces more uncertainty in 2010 than Mat Gamel. Over the winter, Gamel's name came up in the following scenarios: replacing Corey Hart in right field, becoming the new first baseman if Prince Fielder was traded, playing third base full-time, splitting time at third with Casey McGehee, being a bench player, or being traded away to acquire a starting pitcher. The future of the one-time top prospect in the Brewers system now seems in limbo, and no one, not even Gamel, is quite sure what will happen this year. After a dominant 2008 minor league campaign that saw him hit 20 home runs and drive in 99 runs, he split time between Nashville and Milwaukee in 2009.
