The Blackhawks continue to strengthen their organization. Chicago signed Marcus Kruger to a three-year contract on Friday.

At the 2010 Junior World Championships, he chipped in six assists and finished with a plus-seven ratio, en route to earning a Bronze Medal.

The first two games of the 2010 College World Series will be played this Saturday.
For Cubs fans, however, the first game of importance might come Sunday night when the Clemson Tigers face off against the Arizona State Sun Devils.

Report: New York Rangers Olli Jokinen On His Way Out
Posted: 18th June 2010 by Matthew Calamia in NHL
According to a blog post by ESPN hockey analyst Pierre LeBrun, Glen Sather and the New York Rangers have not extended a hand to center Olli Jokinnen about returning for the 2010-11 season.
Jokinen, who was acquired by New York in February with Brandon Prust for Chris Higgins and Ales Kotalik, managed just four goals and 15 assists in 26 games with the Blueshirts. He also failed to extend the shootout ...
There is no one on earth who hates the Lakers more than I do. From the very un-masculine purple and gold uniforms to the egotistical jackass that is Phil Jackson, I hate everything that is associated with the Lakers. However, let me congratulate them on being handed, excuse me, winning another championship. Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying they did not deserve it, but the Celtics did ...
Washington Redskins: Daniel Snyder Brought on the Albert Haynesworth Dispute
Posted: 18th June 2010 by Ben Heck in NFL
The Albert Haynesworth/Washington Redskins contract dispute continues to dominate the NFL offseason headlines. Many are throwing all the blame on Haynesworth himself. But, in my opinion, the Redskins' front office brought this upon themselves.
Daniel Snyder, in particular, threw far too much money on the table to begin with. Plus, the 'Skins were well aware of his past troubles before throwing the $100 million contract at Big Al.
Obviously his size—6'6", 350 ...
With the off-season re-structuring underway, many things are unclear regarding next year's rosters. How about we toss another wrench into the system?
While the captain designation means little to some, it's everything and then some in the locker room. A team is represented by a leader in all facets of operation. Besides being a team leader on the ice, the captain leads his team under public eye.
A captain ...
Six Under Six: The NBA’s Six Best Players of All-Time Under 6’0″
Posted: 18th June 2010 by Mike MacConnell in NBA
The NBA might not be dominated by centers as much as it once was, but it's still a league of big men.
The average height of an NBA player is around 6'7". That's nine-and-a-half inches taller than the average male in the United States.
They say you can't teach height. That's great if you're tall, but what about the little guys?
Believe it or not, NBA arenas have played host to quite a ...
New Orleans Saints Super Bowl Rings: Beyond the Bling
Posted: 18th June 2010 by Suzette Lampard Brantley in NFL
Most Super Bowl rings have similar features. The team's name and logo usually appear on the face. The date of the game, that year's emblem, and player numbers and positions also appear somewhere on the ring.
The Saints followed suit and did just that...and so much more.
The design of the ring is a collaboration. Several jewelry firms, players, fans, and the front office weighed in on this glorious piece.
It ...
As I stated in my last article about Joe Johnson, with all the free agency talk being about LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, I'm going to mention some of the lesser known players.
Ray Allen is one of those guys.
After helping the Boston Celtics make an improbable run to the NBA Finals, Ray Allen now has to focus his attention on his impending free agency. Come July 1, 2010 ...
"Because I am crazy, I am ordering every player to be released from their current contracts and we will organize a new draft with every player." — NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman
Not really, but with the upcoming 2010 NHL Draft, I will honor the idea here as presented by crazy Mr. Gary Bettman.
This will be done in sort of a "franchise" mode way (First Round only).
Players with higher potential ...
