Browns-Ravens: Cleveland Offense Must Pull Its Own Weight against Baltimore
Posted: 25th September 2009 by Kim Lakner in NFL
When your team is trailing by four points going into the fourth quarter and thereÆs little hope of coming back, youÆre in deep...well, you know.
á
This has been the case for the Cleveland Browns in the first two games of the season. Most of the blame can go on the offense, but the defense is also finding it difficult to create turnovers. The defense has done its part, but the offense ...
It’s a Sobering Fact that Utah’s Carlos Boozer Only Plays for the Money
Posted: 25th September 2009 by Mark Welling in NBA
Carlos Boozer has some serious explaining to do to Jazz fans. Ever since Boozer's comment to ESPN's Chris Sheridan ("I'm opting out. No matter what, I'm going to get a raise regardless."), Boozer has been on a fast decline to the doghouse of most Jazz fans.áJazz fans know one thing for sure about Carlos Boozer: He is playing strictly for money. If any Jazz fan thinks he has any inkling ...
The Cowboys host their second game in their new home against the Carolina Panthers.
The Panthers are 0-2 after losses to the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons. Now they come into Dallas hoping to put one in the win column.
Expect the Panthers to try to test the Cowboys corners early in Monday's game, especially after watching tape of Sunday night's game against the Giants.
Quarterback Jake Delhomme will have to hope ...

Lou Piniella’s Destiny Should Be Based on the Remainder of the Cubs Season
Posted: 25th September 2009 by Joe Slaton in MLB
Let's get some facts straight...
1a. If the Cubs manage to win three out of their next 10 games, they will have had three winning seasons in a row since Lou Piniella took over as manager.
1b. The Cubs will have had five winning seasons since Jim Hendry took over the role of general manager back in mid-2002.
2a. The last Cubs manager to have three winning seasons in a row was Leo ...
First, it was Roy Williams.
He's not explosive. He's not fast. He doesn't run good routes. He's not a practice guy. The words of ESPN analysts like Skip Bayless just saying something to get everyone riled up?
No. The words of ex-Cowboys players."I donÆt know. I donÆt know if it's possible," said Emmitt Smith about Roy Williams. "I do not see him as a No. 1. ...
BT’s 2009/10 NHL Season Preview: Toronto Maple Leafs
Posted: 25th September 2009 by Bryan Thiel in NHL
Once again, we finish off the season previews with the Toronto Maple Leafsùthe only point throughout these at which I show any bias (unless you're a New York Ranger fan who took some sort of offense to the Rangers' preview).
While the ending point is the same as last year, where the Leafs are at this point this year is vastly different.
Like the Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, and Buffalo Sabres before ...
Browns-Ravens Preview: Keys To The Game For The Browns
Posted: 25th September 2009 by Daniel Wolf in NFL
In what has become my weekly routine, it is that time of the week for the preview of the Cleveland Browns game versus the Baltimore Ravens.
A note to all Ravens fans that may read this article: this is a Browns focused preview so you will not get any Ravens information here.
So it's the Browns versus that hated franchise who used to be the Browns until they were taken from Cleveland ...
Theo Fleury’s Comeback Flame Blown Out in Calgary
Posted: 25th September 2009 by Dustin Pollack in NHL
Reports out of Calgary earlier this afternoon are saying that the Flames have released Theoren Fleury after the 41-year-old tried to crack the team's regular season lineup in training camp.
After his performance in camp, in which he scored in a shootout and added four points in four games, some felt that Fleury might have a shot at the Flames lineup.
However, clearly his performance in the preseason wasn't enough to impress ...
On July 4th, 2009, the world lost a great man when Steve McNair was murdered by his girlfriend at the age of 36. It seemed that the more details that came out, the less people wanted to know.
"This is so, so sad. We immediately think of his family, his boys. They are all in our thoughts and prayers. What we admired most about Steve when we played against him was ...
