NBA Trade Rumors: Potential Superstar Additions to Houston Rockets
Posted: 28th June 2010 by Ros Dumlao in NBA
When it comes to Chris Bosh, don’t count the Houston Rockets out just yet.
Sure, the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat seem like viable destinations for Bosh, but the Rockets can still make a deal work to land him.
At the same time, with key players in their roster set to be free agents once July 1 strikes, the Rockets will be looking to fill in some missing pieces.
The Rockets have ...

Oakland Raiders: Taking a Look at the Wide Receiver Competition
Posted: 28th June 2010 by Ezra Ruiz in NFL
The Oakland Raiders had the worst wide receiver corps in the NFL.
Both starting rookies, Darrius Heyward-Bey and Louis Murphy had a case of the dropsies. Chaz Schilens, the most polished wide receiver on the roster, was out for the majority of the season.
This year, Oakland's group looks young, promising, and most importantly healthy.
There should be a big competition at the wide receiver position, but the question is, who starts?
The three ...

Personally witnessing Cliff Lee manhandle the New York Yankees in two different uniforms, at both Yankee Stadiums, was far from fun.
All I can say is Cliff Lee is that good.
Our first time in 2008 was like a blind date, as Lee wore a Cleveland Indian uniform back then. I was simply going to see a regular season game and watched the Yankees make contact with the ...
Michael Vick Puts Philadelphia Eagles Fans in a Precarious Position
Posted: 28th June 2010 by Will Holt in NFL
I have been near Philadelphia Eagles fans when they smoked weed in the stadium, pissed in sinks, and threw punches at opposing fans and even police officers.
I’m not going to act holier than thou, because I certainly have engaged in less than stellar behavior at many Eagles games.
So what does this have to do with Michel Vick?
Well, when we heard about Vick’s latest incident stating he may be involved in ...
Frank Thomas, Ted Williams, and the Adjusted 500 Home Run Club
Posted: 28th June 2010 by Asher Chancey in MLB
In a recent column, I set out to provide an Adjusted 400 Home Run Club , with alterations made based on era, missed time, and favorable vs. non-favorable home ballparks.
Humorously, this simply raised more questions about the 500 Home Run Club than it did answer questions about the 400 Home Run Club.
So, maybe we should adjust that club as well.
(Eek, eek. Twitch, twitch.)
Are we about to change the baseball world? Probably ...

Posted: 28th June 2010 by Thomas Franz in NBA
According to numerous sources including the LA Times, Shannon Brown will opt out of his contract by the deadline of June 30.
In doing so, Brown will join a free agent pool already littered with names like James, Bosh, and Wade.
For teams who can't afford the high-priced superstars, Brown can certainly be a viable secondary option in this summer's market.
In his current contract with Los Angeles, Brown is supposed to earn ...
You Be the Habs’ GM, Question Five: Would You Make a Play for Vincent Lecavalier
Posted: 28th June 2010 by Kamal Panesar in NHL
For the final question in the five-part series about what you would do if you were the Habs' GM, I asked fans a question that brought a lot of hate-mail on me. Well, "hate-mail" is the wrong term, but the question really got a lot of people in a bother and, to be honest, I completely understand why! This is a tired topic that most fans thought they'd ...
LeBron James NBA Trade Rumors: 10 Trades That Affect Where He Signs
Posted: 28th June 2010 by Tim Wood in NBA
Who is going to blink first?
That's the biggest question heading into Thursday's opening of the NBA free agent flood gates.
Many of the top names have said that they're all waiting to see what LeBron James does before they act—aka, the dominoes falling behind The King.
Anyone not named Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, or Joe Johnson seem to believe that the should wait to see what transpires before making their own decisions.
