I hope you're sitting for this one... I'm NOT disappointed in the Ducks loss Saturday night. Yes, we're talking about a Ducks team desperately seeking victories, but we're also talking about a Ducks team in need of some confidence and consistent hockey on a regular basis. For a group playing their second game of a back-to-back, the Ducks played solid for a majority of the game. Signs of fatigue were showing in the third period, but they were able to hold on strong, pushing the Phoenix Coyotes to overtime and the eventual shootout. More importantly, the Ducks were able to get a second straight night out of Jonas Hiller, which will do a lot in terms of Hiller's personal confidence level, as well as pushing him one step closer to being the Ducks' number one goaltender.
