Every team has its bumps in the road during the course of a season. It's inevitable, and it even happens to the best of them. That includes the San Jose Sharks, who currentlyásit on top of the NHL with 43 points. But what would you think if I said San Jose's 3-2 shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues at home on Thursday night was more embarrassing than their 7-2 dismantling courtesy of the Chicago Blackhawks on Nov. 25? Strange, but true. San Jose seemed to have a 2-1 victory wrapped up when former Shark, Brad Boyes, took a hooking penalty in the last two minutes of the third period. But when the Blues pulled goaltender Ty Conklin in favor of the extra skater, St. Louis turned the tables and scored a shorthanded goal to tie the game with six second left.
