Trent Hunter and John Tavares scored goals 90 seconds apart in the second period, and the Islanders made it hold up in the third for a 3-1 victory over Toronto.á On to the trick: 1.á Following a scoreless first period, the Isles took command in the second period as Hunter tallied for the second straight game, just three seconds after an Islander power play expired.á It was the second goal in as many games for Hunter.á Tavares then scored off a beautiful pass form Blake Comeau.á It was his first goal since scoring five consecutive Islander goals between December 3 and December 9.ááá 2.ááAfter managing only eight shots on goal in the first 35 minutes, the Leafs picked up their play late in the second period and early in the third.á Niklas Hagman scored Toronto's only goal to cut t ...
