A string of injuries have hit the two "brightest stars" on the Detroit Sports walk of fame. The Pistons and Red Wings have been for the most part, the teams sports fans like myself, hang on to the hope of a championship season in Michigan. In my lifetime the Detroit Red Wings have won four Stanley Cups. Almost as good the Detroit Pistons have won three NBA Championships. I have always banked on the Red Wings and Pistons to at least keep my hopes alive and well.
As a sports fan, am I spoiled? Yeah, Just a little. Now it seems the injury bug has hit both teams. For the Pistons, Richard "Rip" Hamilton had one heck of a first game of this season and hasn't seen the court since then. Then, Tayshaun Prince has a rupture disk in his back.
At least Tayshaun is trying to make it back. ...
