The Chicago Blackhawks have a lot of talented players on their roster, but the injury bug has already started wandering around their locker room. Center Dave Bolland was scratched from Thursday night's game against the Detroit Red Wings, and just before the puck dropped at Joe Louis Arena the team announced that forward Ben Eager has been placed on the injured reserve with an unspecified "upper body injury." Forward Troy Brouwer was also listed as a game-time decision. Bryan Bickell was recalled early Thursday to fill one of the spots against the Red Wings, and Radek Smolenak should see action as well.
