It was the summer of 2007 when the Carolina Hurricanes took a dive into history, and by history I mean family history, and took a shot on a young kid from Red Deer. That kid was Brandon Sutter. Brandon is part of the rich Sutter legacy, well known for their roots in hockey all around the world. When the Carolina Hurricanes selected him 11th in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft the Hurricanes knew exactly what they wanted, and got everything they could've asked for in Brandon Sutter. His 2008-2009 rookie campaign started last season and he took a decent start before suffering a horrific concussion after a blow to the head by Doug Weight.
