If the Red Wings went against type by going after a big, physical forward in Riley Sheahan, their first pick in the 2010 Draft (21st overall), they went right back to what has worked for them in the past, a small, skilled forward. And a Swede to boot! With the 51st overall pick, the Wings selected Calle Jarnkrok, a 5'11", 156 lbs. center for Brynas of the Swedish Elite League. However obvious the pick might be to astute Red Wings observers, the selection was not something the young forward expected. "Actually, [I did] not [expect to be picked by Detroit]," said Jarnkrok. "But, I'm just happy to be picked, by Detroit.  They're a tremendous organization and have many Swedes!"
