Matt Cassel has been on the ground a lot this season. At times a three-step-drop still was not enough time for Cassel to read the coverage and make a pass. Now, Chiefs fans are and maybe should be starting to think that Cassel has been a waste of money. He has thrown 13 touchdown passes but also 13 INT's so there is plenty of reasons to think the Chiefs wasted money on the fifth year quarterback out of USC. Not so fast, if you have watched one quarter of Chiefs football you have witnessed horrible protection and a lot of dropped balls by receivers this season. Cassel has been sacked 40 times this season which is second in the NFL behind Aaron Rogers of the Green Bay Packers. The Chiefs also lead the NFL in drops.
