Drew Brees and the Saints, in beating the Giants 48-27, really exposed the GiantsÆ pass defense, piling up 360 yards and moving the ball at will all day. - Some of the problems with the GiantsÆ defense can be fixed. When Michael Boley returns, the middle of the field shouldnÆt be quite as soft. Smartly, the Saints did most of their damage in the middle of the field. BoleyÆs return would also make it easier for the Giants to guard tight ends. - When/If Chris Canty and Aaron Ross return, the pass defense will improve on two levels. CantyÆs long arms make it hard for the QB to pass across the middle. Aaron RossÆ return would mean that Kevin Dockery will not have to be relied upon as much in the nickel. I like Dockery, but heÆs just not nearly as talented as Ross, Corey Webster or Terre ...
