With the Lions playing for nothing more than "moral" victories, I took a few minutes (actually this is all on the fly) to lay out three simple and basic steps the Lions need to achieve to become a better football team. With that in mind, I'm not going to get into what record I expect them to have in 2010 nor am I going to address the many, many needs the Lions still have on both sides of the ball by indicating what players are needed where. There will be plenty of time for that and there will be differences of opinion from now until draft day.
Step One: Build a Solid Foundation.
