Rarely do fantasy owners turn to a fantasy wasteland for fantasy salvation. But last season around this time, fantasy owners struck gold in Kansas City with quarterback Tyler Thigpen. The third-string QB heading into the season, Thigpen dropped fantasy dimes almost every week down the stretch of the season. While Thigpen's real team lost despite his impressive statistics, the difference between fantasy and reality was made abundantly clear for him in the offseason. The Chiefs rewarded Thigpen by trading for upstart quarterback Matt Cassel . Eventually, Thigpen himself was dealt to Miami. The memory lives on for fantasy owners, however, and several quarterbacks could fit the Thigpen bill this season:
