Tony Scheffler was the kind of tight end most teams would love to have on their rosters. His quickness allowed him to split the seam against slower linebackers, but he still had the strength to hold his own in blocking situations. He was also involved in a rift with Josh McDaniels and was unceremoniously shown the door in a three-way trade in which the Broncos received just a fifth-round pick for the tight end and their seventh-rounder.
